Two flat car tyres at once
It was eight o"clock in the morning when my son Dave woke me up. I had spent the night at work so I needed some time to make up for the loss of sleep, but when I saw Dave"s name on the mobile phone screen, I knew I had to answer. It was the day of his final exams at school and he had just taken my car to drive to school with a group of friends. If he was calling me, there was definitely something wrong. I pressed the green button on the telephone keyboard and said ‘Hello". Dave sounded a bit perplexed, but he explained what was going on straight away. They had just run over something sharp, probably nails, and now had two flat car tyres. The exam was going to start in thirty minutes and they were supposed to be there in a quarter. What should they do? I didn"t hesitate for long. I told him I would be there in twenty minutes. I got up, got dressed and got into my old van. Then I drove to the spot where they were waiting. They were really unlucky to get two flat car tyres at once. It had never happened to me. We left the car by the road and drove in my van to school. Of course, they came in the last minute before the exam but they finally all passed it. I wonder how it is. Things crop up in the least expected moment. But if you stay calm, you will always find a solution to your problem!
