Surfing as a great way to lose weight
I have recently noticed that a lot of people who are trying hard to lose weight have problems finding an activity they would really like. Why torture yourself in the gym if you don"t like it at all? Or perhaps you are not a big fan of running, but you still get up at five o clock in the morning, with tears in your eyes, and go out to jog in the fog? Why not find a hobby that would help you lose weight? A friend of mine has a fifteen-year-old son who used to be a bit overweight when he was eight or nine years old. They live near the sea, and the boy"s dream was to become a surfer. Of course it"s an expensive sport, you have to buy proper equipment and pay for the lessons, but the boy actually belonged to a sports club which hired some equipment and offered free classes once or twice a week. He turned out to have some talent and soon started taking part in various competitions. Today he is no longer overweight. Of course, it is possible that he grew out of it, but the fact is, he does not only look slimmer, he looks much more muscular, and he does not even remember when and how it all happened. If you want to lose weight, why not find something that you could become so engaged in that you wouldn"t really have time to think of loosing kilograms?
